WHAT MY MAJOR MEANS TO ME
The Apparel, Textiles, and Merchandising program has thoroughly prepared me to excel as a professional in the fashion industry. The courses I completed challenged me to think critically and consistently support my reasoning, equipping me with a solid foundation in both technical and analytical skills. I have developed competencies in digital art, technical sewing, and understanding consumer behavior patterns—essential skills for identifying and meeting consumer needs.
Throughout my studies, I had the opportunity to learn directly from industry professionals through guest speaker presentations, which offered valuable insights into the practical application of industry knowledge. My professors set high standards, expecting professional-quality work and encouraging me to take ownership of my success.
The ATM program provided a comprehensive education, covering essential knowledge and hands-on experience necessary to thrive in the fashion industry. The demanding research assignments, creation of visual aids, and extensive study of industry dynamics have all been invaluable in preparing me for the next stage of my career: stepping confidently into the fashion world as an industry-ready professional.
